
Tim Hoogendam
Tim Hoogendam is a consultant at De Wereldverbeteraars. Before this, Tim worked for two years in the marketing department of the ‘Education for Professionals’ of the School of Business & Economics of the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. He also holds two master's degrees, one in Marketing and one in Digital Business & Innovation, both obtained at the School of Business & Economics of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Profile
In his work at VU, Tim dealt with the various facets of marketing. For example, he created content, managed the website and supported account managers, online and digital marketers. Participating in all these different parts of marketing gave him a broad perspective of marketing and what role it can play. As each programme focused on a different group of professionals, he learned how to define a marketing strategy based on your target audience and always be customer-centric.

Tim and hockey: Tim has always played in the highest youth and currently plays in high national leagues. But besides this experience as a player, he also already has an impressive career as a trainer-coach. He has successfully coached many youth teams as a head coach which actually involves all aspects of successful group people management.

Combining the two completed masters, Tim has the latest insights into both marketing and business innovation. Where marketing taught him a lot about adding value and communicating this clearly to the outside world, Digital Business & Innovation taught him how to use data to create new business models and how to best integrate the latest innovation into your organisation.

Whereas the other world improvers at De Wereldverbeteraars work a lot based on their knowledge and experience, Tim brings the latest insights with him. As a result, they complement each other, creating complementary teams. This also means that all professionals involved can also learn something from him.
